In Indian culture, we’re raised on the mantra “Atithi Devo Bhava” — guests are gods! So of course, a tray isn’t just a tray… it’s a conversation starter, a stage for chai, gossip, and grand ideas. My art trays take that ritual and remix it — turning the simple act of serving into a pop-art moment. Many collectors prop them up vertically on their console tables, showing them off like mini altars to everyday culture. It’s my way of sneaking art (and a bit of mischief) into the heart of your home — one serving at a time.

These trays are not mass produced, and cannot be compared to a tray in IKEA or even at a museum shop. These are limited edition collectibles; straight from the Artist's studio. There is no 'middle man'.  Each tray is made in the U.K, and the Retail price is double the Production Price.  The difference is a contribution to the Artist's artwork, and supports her costs to keep this enterprise alive. Made from scratchproof melamine, these robust trays measure 43 x 33 cm, and are ideal for everyday use.

This photo shows me with Ailsa Chapman from Chai Rose Travels. I’ve always loved my British Indian hybrid identity — it’s given me a front-row seat to the beautiful dance between East and West, and the places where Hinduism and Christianity quietly overlap.

In Ailsa's words: 'India has been a mythical place for me all my life. My father lived there for seven years and loved both the country and its people. He had a life long affection for this exotic, vast land: the biggest contrast to his beloved England. His tales of the places he visited, the food he ate, the language he learned and the sights he saw brought India alive to this very English girl and sowed a seed in me that yearned to visit.

It took me three decades of umming and ahhing to actually get to India and I only wish I had done this years ago. Hence, the creation of ‘Chai Rose Travels’ – an opportunity for me to share my love of travel and education; supporting other people to visit this incredible country and experience all it has to offer, whilst hopefully negating any trepidation that potential visitors may feel. People held my hand when I visited India; now I want to do the same for others'.

In "Pink Shiva Moon," the Artist centers Lord Shiva, the deity of destruction and transformation, as the main protagonist, creating a profound commentary on the cycles of the cosmos and the essence of rebirth that underpins the universe. Shiva, seated in meditative poise under the luminous glow of a pink moon and earth, symbolizes the profound stillness and introspection that precedes cosmic renewal. This pink energy, casting a serene light over the entire composition, underscores the promise of compassion and renewal inherent in Shiva's role as the destroyer, making way for new beginnings.  Complementarily, Goddess Amba, mounted on her tiger, and Jesus, seated on a zebra, enrich this cosmic narrative, weaving in the themes of power, protection, and unity in diversity. Amba, embodying the fierce yet nurturing aspects of the Divine Feminine, brings to the fore the importance of maternal wisdom, strength, and the protective rage against all that threatens harmony and righteousness. Her presence alongside Shiva highlights the balance between creation and destruction, emphasizing the nurturing force required to guide the new cycles of existence that follow Shiva's transformational dance.  Jesus on a zebra introduces a layer of transcultural dialogue and reconciliation, symbolizing the bridging of worlds and the harmonious blending of diverse spiritual traditions. The choice of a zebra as his mount signifies the integration of opposites, much like the interplay of destruction and creation that Shiva represents. Together, they suggest a cosmic alignment of principles and forces across different cultural and spiritual landscapes, aiming for a harmonious resolution at the end of a significant cosmic cycle.  Set against the backdrop of a surreal, dream-like landscape that hints at a Noah's Ark of cosmic scale, the meeting of these divine figures under the watchful eye of the pink moon and amidst the awaiting astral bodies and Mother Earth, becomes a pivotal moment of decision for the fate of humanity. This setting emphasizes the collective effort of the deities, each playing a role in the delicate balance of cosmic justice and the nurturing of life's renewal on Earth.
