Featuring two different artworks on both sides; 'Wake up"' and 'Red Pill'.
"Wake Up" is a painting that’s really just a reminder to myself to stay awake to the idea that my everyday world is a program—just a surface-level layer on top of the real me, the part of me that’s immortal. Whenever life feels overwhelming and the stress piles up, I look at this painting and tell myself to chill out! In the piece, there’s a man split in two—half Shiva, half Jesus—(I have both of them on my altar) standing over me, asleep on my bed, with a laptop open beside me. Floating trees with exposed roots fill the background, representing consciousness that’s free from the body, like these trees are free from the earth. For me, this work captures the divide between the conditioned self—the one shaped by life’s demands—and the true essence of who I am, the soul that exists beyond all the programming and ego. The fusion of Shiva and Jesus—symbols of resurrection and renewal—reminds me that transformation is possible. Every day, we have the chance to reconnect with our real selves and embrace the potential for self-discovery.
Red Pill: In this artwork, the scene resembles a dynamic panel from an Indian comic, merging futuristic dystopia with the timeless clash of consciousness and choice. At the center stands a powerful robot, embodying artificial intelligence and offering an illusion of reassurance amidst existential questions.
Beside the robot are two figures, each clutching a jar of pills that represent different paths. One holds blue pills, symbolizing the comfort of conformity and societal conditioning. Opposing him is a figure with a yellow halo, holding red pills—a nod to “The Matrix,” signifying awakening and the pursuit of truth. Overseeing the scene are demi-gods, suggesting unseen forces that influence mortal and mechanical fates. This composition invites viewers to ponder the eternal struggle between conformity and enlightenment in a swiftly changing world.
